JCC Proposed $62.7 Million Plan 10/24/2008
Like other community college, Jefferson Community College has proposed a $62.7 million plan to the legislature. They are hoping that the legislature will approve their plan by this month. They are trying to obtain funds to do any maintenance or renovations or constructions on the campus. This will expand their campus and they will be able introduce new programs like LPN to RN programs in their course. WCC and HACC Emphasize on Development 10/24/2008
Wallace Community College is starting their new semester by spring. Classes would start by January 12, 2009. The nursing programs include associate degree and practical nursing and the LPN to RN programs. Looking at the number of applications coming in they are expecting a good result this time. The Springfield Financial Institutions CRA Council, Capital Area Association of Realtors and the Springfield Association of Mortgage Professionals started a project. Spring field Ace Hardware invested $10,000 for St. Joseph’s Forget Me Not campaign. Nurses are not getting benefits equal to the efforts which they are doing for the society. The health secretary has congratulated Norfolk hospital to congratulate for its performance. The James Paget University Hospital was one of 42 NHS trusts who rated excellent for both of its quality of services and management of finances. Health Secretary Sir Ian Kennedy has publicly congratulated the staff for best NHS trusts in the country. Emergency Workers are Heroes 10/12/2008
October is Children’s mental health Month where some events make emergency workers as heroes. The Community Hero program has been started to reward those who help children facing emotional or behavioral disorder. The program is an achievement and it gave recognition to 30 community individuals and organizations. A.O Fox and Other Hospitals need Help 10/12/2008
A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital and Bassett Healthcare officials informed Tuesday that they will discuss new measures to provide care facilities to local area people. There will be no merger but they will create a corporate link for the benefit of society. They are planning to serve patients at or near their homes not to seek cost cutting in them. Since the last two years, the continent is struggling with the shortage of doctors and nurses in poor countries. In December 2006, the European Union governments approved a program of action for ensuring that a higher number of qualified health workers which are made available to treat the world's poor. In Michigan, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson is saying that health care can be an even greater growth engine for his county, which already has 93,000 jobs in the field in 4,300 facilities. Patterson believes that they can draw patients from around the world and provide them better health care facilities. |
